On January 28, 2018, a Twitter user decided to attempt to humiliate another user with a lengthy put-down in the format of a "Quote Tweet". However, the incident backfired. Despite being an incredibly thorough insult, the put-down soon became a niche meme due to how inadvertently angry and, ironically, offended the user seemed to be.

Since then, several iterations of the meme seemed to have sprouted on Twitter; referencing the original post due to how outlandish and ripe for virality it is.

Through happenstance, this meme amounted to something which mocks individuals who take the internet too seriously.
