About
Load Size Large is a reaction image depicting a washing machine dial labeled "load size" that is set to “large.” Though sometimes the image appears blank, it is often accompanied by a person or character overlaid on the image to the left side. Each of these variants are typically used as reaction images to show sexual release from the above caption or image in the top panel. The same image of the dial is also used in the Oof Size Large and Mind Size / Brain Size memes.
Origin
The original image of the washing machine dial used in the meme is currently unknown, but the first time it appears online comes from the now-deleted Tumblr[1] account earthshakinlove on October 11th, 2016. In this post (seen below), the image is used as a reaction to the caption “When she moans daddy. The post was then shared by several other accounts on the platform and was liked over 19,000 times.
Spread
This format then spread to other places online where it was used alongside other captions. One such example was reposted to Imgur[2] on October 24th, 2016, by an unknown user with the caption “when she calls you garlic bread.”
On July 12th, 2017, Imgur[3] user ifaponfirstdate uploaded another version of the meme featuring a cosplay of Widowmaker from the game Overwatch (shown below) and received 1,328 views and 17 points.
After the original image spread, many characters and people were then photoshopped into the lower-left corner of the image to attribute the caption to a certain thing. On May 3rd, 2018, Twitter[4] user theMemesBot tweeted a meme of Alex Jones with the dial turned to “omega” (shown below).

A variant featuring Guy Fieri’s face to the left of the dial also began trending online and has been reposted to several sites over the years. On October 3rd, 2019, Memedroid[5] user Cosmus uploaded the meme (seen below) to the site and received 609 likes.
