Now Now Now Now Now Yes or Now Now Now Now Now Yeah refers to a viral video uploaded to Vine by CalebCity in which he plays the ukulele but rather than make ukulele sounds, the instrument says human words. The video grew more popular in 2020 after its initial popularity on Vine.
Origin
On January 31st, 2016, Vine user[1] CalebCity® posted the original video to vine titled "If instruments were voices and voices were instruments." In the clip, a person can be seen playing the ukulele but the instrument makes human words. The camera cuts to CalebCity clapping and then speaking, but his voice is ukulele noices. Within five years, the video received 21 million loops, 263,700 likes and 84,000 revines (shown below).
The viral vine video was reuploaded by many YouTube users. On February 16th, 2016, YouTuber [2] NoChillAustin reuploaded the vine and hit 5 million views in five years (shown below).
Spread
In the summer of 2020, the Vine gained notable popularity, with users applying various sound and visual effects in remixes of it. For example, on August 13th, 2020 user VeccTorr uploaded a parody that gained over 13,000 views (shown below, left).[3] On July 16th, user l_Yosef_l uploaded a Plants vs. Zombies edit of the clip, gaining over 660,000 views (shown below, right).[4]
