Oh, Once Again I Am A Child is a string of lyrics sung by musician 070 Shake in the song "Ghost Town"[1] by Kanye West. A clip of the audio became popular on TikTok in October of 2020 through an original sound called "i feel kinda freeee." In the videos, TikTokers lipsync to the lyrics while an on-screen caption describes a situation where they were either treated like a child, or a traumatic situation from their childhood, as if reminding someone that they're a child.

On September 23rd, 2020, TikToker thanksgiving[2] uploaded a video featuring himself lipsyncing to "Ghost Town" by Kanye West (shown below). The video garnered over 149 thousand views in a month, and is the origin point for the original sound "i feel kinda freeee."

In early October, TikTokers started applying the sound to videos describing situations where they were treated like a child, or where they treated someone like a child (example shown below, left). Other users applied the sound over more serious videos describing trauma they went through as a child (example shown below, right).

On October 10th, 2020, TikToker bc.gavi.said.so[3] posted a video using the sound with the on-screen caption, "ur only coming inside my house if ur poor as well. That way i don't feel judged. Sorry." (Shown below, left). The video garnered over 918 thousand views in 9 days. On October 16th, TikToker tommys.party[4] uploaded another variation of the format, garnering over 843 thousand views in 3 days (shown below, right).

While users continued to use the sound comedically, others started using it to vent and spread awareness about childhood trauma, such as abuse and sexual assault. On October 10th, TikToker izzysoncrack[5] uploaded a video describing the serious subject matter of the song, warning users against romanticizing it (shown below, left). On October 12th, bunnyk1llz[6] uploaded a version describing serious trauma, gaining over 410 thousand views in a week (shown below, right).

As of October 19th, over 29.7 thousand videos have used the original sound "i feel kinda freeee."
