About
Oooh, Violet's Gonna Be Mad refers to a scene from the series Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy In Space in which the character PuppyCat teases a baby about to smash a piece of candy by saying "Violet's gonna be mad," then "I'll be her favorite." As the scene plays out, PuppyCat tries to explain the concept of a joke, ending with the line "I taught him how to joke, and he punked me." The scene inspired numerous reanimations on TikTok in 2023 and 2024.
Origin
On September 19th, 2023, the Bee and PuppyCat TikTok account[1] posted a scene from the series in which PuppyCat teases a baby before explaining the concept of a joke. The scene gained over 399,000 likes in five months (shown below).

After the scene was posted to TikTok, it inspired various animators to reanimate the scene featuring characters from other pieces of media. For example, on December 10th, 2023, TikToker kyarracha[2] posted an edit with Jujutsu Kaisen characters, gaining over 228,000 likes in two months (shown below, left). On December 24th, user bean_keyk[3] posted another Jujutsu Kaisen animation, gaining over 169,000 likes in a similar time frame (shown below, right).
