Todd Rogers, aka The King of Video Games, ToddZilla, and Mr. Activision, an American professional gamer. He is infamous for having held over 1700 world records, with most if not all proven impossible and/or without proper evidence.

Career and Life

Todd Rogers was born in December 1, 1964, in Florida. He joined the US National Video Game Team in 1986 and was recognized as one of the first paid professional video game players. One of his more infamous records was for the 1980 Activision Game Dragster, with a time of 5.51 seconds in 1982.

Cheating Scandals

<Why Can't This World Record Be Beaten? "The Impossible Speedrun" by EZScape>

On June 16, 2017, attention was brought to Rogers by Youtuber EZScape, and he stated that his Dragster record was possible.
He stated that the fastest possible time was 5.57. Others include a high score of 15 million for the NES port of Donkey Kong, which was completely lacking evidence, a score of 1698 for Wabbit, also proven impossible because the highest possible score is 1300 and the score only counts in 5-point intervals, and a time of 32.04 seconds for Atari game Barnstormer. On January 29, 2018, all of his records were removed from Twin Galaxies, and the following day, Guinness World Records removed all of his records.

Parody Videos

Following the removal of all his records from Twin Galaxies and Guinness World Records, multiple fake speedrun videos parodying Todd Rogers began to appear on youtube. Some of the first include a speedrun parody of Super Mario Bros by Youtuber sullyrox and a Mario 64 one by verygoodvideos123.

Similarly, a 10-youtubers-vs.-1-speedrunner-style parody of Mario 64, featuring Rogers against popular Mario 64 Youtubers such as SimpleFlips and Markiplier, was uploaded by SwankyBox for April Fool's Day.
