Rapture Dad is the offshoot of the rapture bomb or #rapturebomb photos that have sprung up since the May 21, 2011 prediction of the end of the world. This photo, originally posted by twitter user @reverendkjr, spread quickly and made several top 10 lists across the interwebs. The meme is created by taking the photo, and overlaying a caption that is indicative of what Rapture Dad will do, now that his entire family is gone.
