About
Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan (ことばのパズル もじぴったん, Kotoba no Pazuru Mojipittan) is a series of word-based puzzle games created by Namco, which consists in completing objectives that varies stage to stage. Due to its strong usage of Japanese, none of the games officially left Japan.
History
The first game was designed by Hiroyuki Goto, who is well known in Japan for being able to recite pi from memory to 42,195 decimal places. The musics were composed by Satoru Kōsaki. In December 2001, the first game was released on arcades in the Namco System 10 arcade system board.
The game was later ported to the PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance (the last one with the multiplayer mode removed).
Reception
The series was very well received for its originality, multiplayer, soundtrack and addictive gameplay.
