The meme is about a mother who is invited to present her opinion about Dead Space 2. The mother does not know anything about the game before it is previewed to her. Since the game is a shocker to the mother, and whatnot, EA decided to slap a slogan for the game "Your Mom Hates Dead Space 2". One of the videos, "Your Mom Hates Dead Space 2 'Participant #0122' Reaction", a scene with mutated "babies" are shown attacking the main character in the game, and the mother says "They're not babies at all!". Several YouTube comments with the phrase have been liked several times, and the quote seems to fit as an excellent name for a meme.
Many mothers have been interviewed, and their opinions and reactions have been posted on YouTube and on the official Dead Space 2 website, http://www.yourmomhatesthis.com.
