About
Shoebody Bop, also known as Summoning Meme, refers to an acapella song created by YouTuber The Minute Hour and a viral video animated by Drue Langlois that shows a priest-like figure dressed in blue robes standing in a river and headbutting people dressed in white robes as other blue-robed people sing the "Shoebody Bop." The man continues headbutting the people handed off to him, who keep increasing in forehead strength until people dressed in red robes summon a spikey-headed demon. The animation style has been compared to Adult Swim. The song was originally posted in 2022 as a sequel to the 2018 animated video "Something Terribly Offensive," also posted by The Minute Hour and animated by Drue Langlois. In early 2025, The Minute Hour unlisted both videos and prompted Drue Langlois to repost the animations. The renewed virality of the video led to a TikTok and Instagram trend in March 2025 in which internet users used green-screened clips from the animation.
