That day, on March 10th, 2021, Twitter[2] user @vlovesemma posted the caption with screenshots from the film Mamma Mia. The tweet received more than 77,000 likes and 20,000 retweets in less than one month (shown below, left).

Two days later, on March 12th, Twitterp[3] user @civiiswar posted a variation of the meme using images from the 2010 Disney film Tangled. The post received more than 327,000 likes 74,000 retweets in less than one month (shown below, center).

Others used the phrase ironically, applying the sentiment to films that are not usually thought of as comforting. For example, on March 12th, Twitter[4] user @battinsan tweeted an image from the film Black Swan and the caption "bitches be like 'the way this film radiates comfort' and then it’s this movie." The tweet received more than 204,000 likes and 20,000 retweets in less than one month (shown below, right).
