"Where Is Chiikawa?" Redraws refers to a redraw trend inspired by the Where Is Poor exploitable meme in which an obese man looks through a pair of binoculars and asks "Where is poor?" as his big gut blocks his view of a panhandler. In 2025, a Twitter / X trend started by a Chiikawa fan account inspired internet users to share their versions of the meme using the phrasal template "Where is X."
Origin
The cartoon depicting a man so obese he cannot see the "poor" he's looking for under his gut is a political cartoon that can be traced as far back as 2012.[1]

On March 3rd, 2025, Twitter / X[2] user @lilchiikawa_ posted a version of the meme showing a fat Usagi looking for a small Chiikawa hidden under his belly. The post gathered over 56,000 likes in a week.

On March 7th, 2025, Twitter / X[3] user @SWANSUKEYAOI posted a redraw of the "Where is Chiikawa" post featuring characters from the video game Mouthwashing. The post gathered over 20,000 likes in four days.
