About
The Welsh Scrabble Add-on Pack is a humorous extension to the Welsh version of Scrabble. It consists of twelve tiles, all of which are the letter 'L', poking fun at the fact that the Welsh language has lots of words that start with 'LL', e.g. 'llaeth' or 'llif'.
Origin
The Welsh Scrabble Add-on Pack originated from an image on Mike Cadogan's 'Suns and Smiles' website. 'Suns and Smiles' is a website where Mike Cadogan shares photos from his travels around the world.
Spread
The Welsh Scrabble Add-on Pack quickly gained popularity after the image was featured on BuzzFeed's '17 Things The Rest Of The World Will Never Understand About Wales' list on 20th September, 2016. The add-on pack is situated at number two on the list.
The Welsh Scrabble Add-on Pack was later posted on Pinterest by the user 'BuzzFeed Partner'.
