"You want a hot body? You want a Bugatti? You want a massive uprising of the proletariat to seize the means of production? You better work bitch!" -- Britney Spears, presumably.

Yesterday, pop singer Britney Spears of "Stronger" and "Oops… I Did It Again" fame, appeared to call for a mass redistribution of wealth and a general strike in a regrammed Instagram post that quite frankly makes her look like a full-on socialist.

The post, regrammed from Instagram user mimizhuxiyuan, encourages communication and love during the Coronavirus outbreak, but towards the end says "We will feed each other, redistribute wealth, strike." The redistribution of wealth and the idea of a general strike, particularly when Republicans in power are considering ending social distancing practices early, are a part of leftist dogma.

To further add to the idea that Britney Spears has gone full socialist, she included three rose emoji in her caption. Online, the rose emoji has come to symbolize the Democratic Socialists of America, as it was prominently displayed at May Day celebrations in the 19th century.

While it's unclear if this is an example of a clueless celebrity simply reposting they thought was inspiring without understanding the context or in fact a signal that socialists can now claim Comrade Britney Spears, the internet loved the possibility of the latter.
