About

Quirk Chungus, often associated with the line I Have Decided To Become A Millennial Comic Artist, refers to a comic, character and slang term for a female archetype depicting a quirky Millennial woman alongside a "man-child" counterpart. The character first appeared on iFunny in late 2020 and began to spread on Twitter / X in early 2024. It is often accompanied by a reference to the "Millennial comic artist" trope.

Origin

On November 20th, 2020, iFunny[1] user Big_Ed posted a comic with the caption "I have decided to become a millennial comic artist. My original characters are:" followed by a depiction of two millennial stereotypes. One stereotype is referred to as “Quirk Chungus,” described as a woman who fails to realize she has become her mother, refers to all dogs as "doggos" or "puppers" and “missed out on being a whore.” The comic (seen below) earned over 3,600 smiles and 113 comments in under four years.
