Donald Trump Asks Supporters For Money To Buy A New Trump Force One Receiving Memes Instead
Former President Donald Trump sent out a fundraising email today asking supporters to pitch in money to help him with “building a brand new Trump Force One” after his current plane had an emergency landing in Florida due to an engine failure Saturday night.

Following his speech at a Republican National Committee donor retreat in New Orleans last weekend, Trump's jet was in the air for about half an hour before one of the engines reportedly failed and the pilot was forced to turn around and return to the New Orleans airport. Communications between the pilot and air traffic control later described that the landing was "emergency in nature," though another person familiar with the matter refuted the use of the word "emergency," according to Politico.
Evidently, the damage to the engine that caused the emergency landing was severe enough for Trump to want to replace the plane with a new one, hence the email to supporters. As a result, many on Twitter took to making mocking memes of the request to his followers throughout the day.

While Trump has been rather tight-lipped about his finances over the years, notoriously refusing to make his tax returns public, some memers took the email as a sign that he may not be as financially sound as he lets on, with others accusing him of grifting or manipulating his supporters for personal gain.
If your billionaire savior needs you to pay for his jet maybe he’s not being honest about his wealth. #TrumpForceOne

Grifters gotta grift: Trump's PAC is fundraising for a new “Trump Force One” private jet for the former guy.

I can’t decide which is more cringe. Grifting your supporters to pay for a new plane hours after an emergency landing, or calling that plane Trump Force One.
