Dril Announces First Video Game, 'Copgame', On Patreon

One of the Twitter's greatest mystery posters, Dril changed the way people talk online, turning pretty much everyone online into rascally shitposters. In many cases, Dril's past tweets prove clairvoyant, joking about situations that would happen years later in news stories. Now, Dril, whoever they are, will take their irreverent humor and hatred of police to a pixelated video game world near you.
Last week, Dril announced the release of copgame on Patreon, Dril's first video game. While many probably assumed Dril's first foray into video games might star Jack Nicholson, copgame is a 2D platformer in which a police officer collects coins, carries pigs and kisses guys in red hats.
"Being locked indoors and/or unemployed for almost a year, however, offered me the opportunity to develop the foundation of a full-fledged 2D action/adventure game, which i believe will be pretty good," writes Dril. "The game follows the quest of a silent protagonist who stumbles upon the gift of immortality in a dangerous future where Top Influencers and corrupt Hollywood guys maintain a cruel grip on society."
"The gameplay places a strong emphasis on employing satisfying, responsive aerobatics to traverse a dozen or so worlds and find a shit load of treasures and secrets."
Dril has set up goals on Patreon to achieve funding for the game, $5,000 to make the game good and $10,000 to make the game very good.
This isn't the first bit of non-Twitter content created by Dril. In 2018, Dril released Dril Official "Mr. Ten Years" Anniversary Collection a retrospective of Dril's body of work, complete with 70 pieces of original artwork and more than 1,500 posts. Dril followed the collection with The Get Rich and Become God Method ebook.
