Maggie Goldberger, better known by her internet alias Ermahgerd Girl, has jumped in on an apparently developing trend and recreated her iconic meme for a nostalgic media property.

Yesterday, Goldberger appeared in an Instagram ad for the upcoming Goosebumps series coming to streaming services this weekend (the original "Ermahgerd" photo was, of course, in reference to her "excitement" over Goosebumps books).

Ermahgerd recreation.

Goldberger's recreation of the photo comes two months after "Johnathan" of the I Like Turtles meme recreated the meme for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

Unlike what the source of her viral fame would suggest, Goldberger isn't actually a massive fan of Goosebumps. Like some other subjects of famous ancient memes like Bad Luck Brian, Goldberger intentionally played up the ridiculousness of the photo. She explained to us in an interview that she and her friend were trying to create a "nerdy" look while playing as kids.

"We dug through her dress-up box and were trying to create the perfect 'nerdy' look," she said. "I threw in my retainer and set up holding the Goosebumps books and then Kaelyn had to grab something else last-minute… I remember enjoying the books but wasn’t a fanatic. I really don’t remember why we chose the Goosebumps books but just that they were in our vicinity."

Goldberger now works as a nurse in Arizona and has come to peace with her viral fame.
