Fox News Takes Diamond & Silk Off The Air
Absent from Fox News since early April, Diamond & Silk, the social-media superstars plucked from the Internet to national prominence by President Donald Trump, will not be returning to Fox's airwaves, according to a report by The Daily Beast. Apparently, the pair's frequent promotion of conspiracy theories regarding the coronavirus cost them their spot on the conservative news giant.
Diamond & Silk have not appeared on Fox News' subscription service Fox Nation since April 7th. As for Fox News proper, it's been even longer: Fox & Friends on March 6th and the Fox Business Network on March 7th.
"After what they’ve said and tweeted, you won’t be seeing them on Fox Nation or Fox News anytime soon," an anonymous source tells The Daily Beast.
The duo are no stranger to controversy since being promoted from relative obscurity to the national stage thanks to their unwavering support of President Trump. In late March, they made several references to conspiracy theories regarding the coronavirus, casting doubt on New York's death toll, accusing N.Y. Governor Andrew Cuomo of "hoarding" ventilators and implying that the media manipulated the death toll to hurt Trump's approval ratings.
"What I need to know is how many people have passed away in New York, and what I need to know is: Who has the bodies?" asked Diamond. "I need for somebody that does investigative work to call the morgues. To call the funeral homes. We need to know, because I don't trust anything else that comes out of his mouth now. … Something's not right here. Something is off here."
"Is this being deliberately spread? Look, I'm not being a conspiracy theorist, this is real, but I'm asking my own questions: What the hell is going on?"
The group continued to spread conspiracy theories regarding the coronavirus into April. Last week, on their "Chit Chat" YouTube, they asked, "Is this a pandemic, or was it a plandemic?"

According to the Daily Beast, "A day after Diamond and Silk’s last Fox Nation episode was posted online, Twitter removed a post from the pro-Trump sisters calling for people to expose themselves to the virus that has now killed more than 55,000 Americans."
Despite the split from Fox News, President Trump continues to support Diamond & Silk. The pair has yet to comment officially on their relationship with Fox News, but in a tweet earlier today, they wrote, "Haters keep saying they hate Diamond and Silk, but you can't hate what you ain't never loved!" President Trump retweeted and added, "But I love Diamond & Silk, and so do millions of people!"
