The surprising chaotic good energy K-Pop fans are bringing to the George Floyd protests continued last night into this morning, as netizens overwhelmed #WhiteLivesMatter, and to a lesser extent #BlueLivesMatter and #WhiteOutWedensday, with their most potent social media weapon: fancams.
#WhiteLivesMatter began trending on Twitter this morning, but as users investigated to see why, they were surprised to see a swath of K-Pop stans advocating for their favorite idols and groups. The movement, allegedly started by Anonymous' "K-Pop division," was welcomed by many on the platform.
#WhiteLivesMatter If you’ve just entered this hashtag: we’re trying to bury the tweets of white supremacists by posting photos, videos and fancams. We have good intentions. PLEASE TELL PEOPLE WHY WE’RE DOING THIS. THEY’RE PROBABLY CONFUSED pic.twitter.com/oypRBt67Y2

In addition to this morning's takeover of #WhiteLivesMatter, K-Pop stans have also refrained from promoting their favorite idols with their usual hashtags and overwhelmed a Dallas Police Department mobile app that was asking for videos of protestors with fancam videos.
