Netflix Fan Account Proudly Announces New Episodes Of What Sure Looks Like Jim Henson's 'N Word Party'
A Netflix UK fan account waded into hot water on Tuesday when it advertised that new episodes of children's television show Jim Henson's Word Party were coming to the platform. The account took Netflix's graphic for the show and then took the brunt of the backlash, for while the show is obviously kid-friendly, whoever okayed the design neglected to notice that the Netflix "N" logo sitting in the top left corner of the graphic almost makes it look like the show is called Jim Henson's N-Word Party.
This is the kind of silly mistake the dirty-minded among us can chuckle about, as it's very clear that the "N-Word Party" reading is completely unintentional and an incidental side effect of the Netflix logo being a red N. People quickly started having fun with the screw-up.
Bit of unfortunate placement on that Netflix logo https://t.co/ymGKqeuhy7

Rather than playing along or just letting the internet get its yuks in peace, the person running @NewOnNetflixUK—who again, is just a fan and not a Netflix employee—decided to get snippy with the jokesters, which ultimately Streisand Effected the goof into a story.
Yes. If you literally ignore the "Jim Henson's" in between a Netflix logo and the title of the show. You're literally right there. Literally.

Thank you for clarifying that it's not just any N-word party, it's Jim Henson's N-word party.

You're mocking people for following my account saying it's some "high up dumb shit" (or words to that effect). It's a useful account giving information about Netflix additions and what's leaving soon.

While the person running the account has been dealing with trolls all day (to no avail), they ultimately made clear that they did not create the graphic for Word Party.
Yes, it's poor design. But it's not my design. I post everything that gets added to Netflix using Netflix's titles, cast, description and artwork. Sometimes actors names are wrong, sometimes the artwork is badly designed. It really is that simple.

This is not the first time Word Party has caught the attention of memers: in 2019, screenshots of the show's graphic circulated on Reddit, where people made the same joke.
