Nintendo Drops Surprise Announcement Of Paper Mario: The Origami King
Nintendo fans in the west awoke this morning to some terrific news: a new Paper Mario game is coming out in two months.
The company released the trailer for Paper Mario: The Origami King, which releases July 17th, earlier today.
Via Nintendo.com, the game will center on the mischievous King Olly, who kidnaps Princess Peach and turns her into an origami creature. King Olly wants to "re-fold the world," which surely means something in the context of the game, but for now, remains inscrutable. What's more important is that the game's trailer shows off the series' trademark sense of humor as well as a mix of 3D and side-scrolling levels.
Fans on Twitter were thrilled at the surprise announcement.
It's a great Paper Mario game if there's a dialogue option that leads to an automatic Game Over pic.twitter.com/7n05fGfX1Q
