In Shocking Confession, Papa John Admits He Didn't Eat 40 Pizzas In 30 Days
As prophesized last November by "Papa" John Schattner, the ousted founder and CEO of the Papa John's fast-food chain: The day of reckoning is here.
In a revealing interview with the H3 podcast, Schnatter told H3 host Ethan Klein that he didn't actually eat 40 pizzas in 30 days, which he previously disclosed in his now-infamous interview. He actually meant that he was "inspecting" pizzas. Schnatter "_inspected_ 40 pizzas in 30 days.
"I didn’t say I’d eaten 40 pizzas in 30 days, I said that I had 40 pizzas in 30 days," said Schnatter. "When I said I had a pizza, this means I’m inspecting. I’m not eating every pizza, I may be eating parts of pizzas."
It's a classic case of confusing "eating" for "inspecting."
This flies in the face of the viral attention his WDRB interview received way back in November 2019, when he shocked the world by stating that in the months since his resignation from the company, he had consumed "40 pizzas in the last 30 days" and that a "day of reckoning will come."
His comments inspired a host of memes, mocking the former Papa, who resigned from Papa John's following reports that, during a conference call regarding prior public relations issues, he complained "Colonel Sanders called blacks n-----s" without blowback.
However, Schnatter has not commented on his more recent New Years resolution: Consuming 50 pizza in 30 days.
