Steam Deck Day Arrives And Brings The Hype To Eager Gaming Fans Upon Release

While Elden Ring was at the forefront of most people's minds today, there were also many Valve fans who were excited for a much different reason, the first day of Steam Deck shipments. The Steam Deck is Valve's latest attempt at a console, and although it has been constantly compared to the Nintendo Switch, early reviews have proven that it's anything but.

Unlike previous consoles, such as the PS5 that sold out almost instantly, the Steam Deck did not have an official "selling out," instead just pushing back the expected date for the console for those who ordered it late.
Fears began to grow nonetheless as people didn't get their emails or saw how much people were expecting to resell their units for, but fears of rising prices were somewhat quelled when Valve's newly crafted webpage with key details helped turn reactions online today into a full-steam-ahead hype train as users shared their excitement online.
But that's not all! We're excited to introduce Aperture Desk Job -- a free playable short made for Steam Deck, set in the universe of the modestly popular Portal games. Coming March 1! https://t.co/4th5yDtkE7 pic.twitter.com/Kq0oHfMGzZ
