For some, the humble chocolate taco and ice cream sandwich known as the "Choco Taco" is a treasured dessert pastime, something to be enjoyed after a nice dinner and a long day outside. For others, the Choco Taco was a dreaded favorite of a family member, demanding they keep being added to the grocery list despite not liking them in favor of other treats.

After word got out that Klondike, responsible for the famous ice cream bar, was discontinuing the Choco Taco, the internet quickly took to social media to protest the decision, showing their support for the timeless treasure.

While some people were busy mourning the Choco Taco, there were a select few who started tweeting out their plans for making runs to wherever they suspect Choco Tacos to still be found.

With Klondike saying the product is discontinued, not recalled, it means that recent shipments of the treat will still be able to be found until supplies last, leading to a potential gold rush scenario in which dessert-taco lovers could begin hunting for this now endangered treat.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, many a social media user voiced their support for the Choco Taco, while readily admitting they haven't consumed one in the past decade and begging the question of loyalty to the treat or to their own nostalgia.

While the Choco Taco was receiving a large amount of support from the internet, there were a few naysayers who were not only steadfast in their hate against it but actively reveled in its demise as their hot takes were proven to be ice cold.
