Trucker Freedom Convoys Head To Washington DC But The Internet Wonders If They Can Navigate Local Traffic
As trucker convoys protesting COVID-19 mandates and restrictions ordered by the United States government advance on Washington, D.C., locals are now mocking the protestors’ understanding of D.C. traffic online.
The truckers’ purported objective is to obstruct traffic on Washington’s famous “Beltway” road, just as a similar convoy has done in Ottawa, Canada — but Washingtonians know that I-495 (the Beltway) is already chronically congested and blocked every day with traffic.
Retweet this.
For all the truckers heading to DC. This could very well be a trap to discredit all of you & make any patriot look like terrorists just like Pelosi's Gang did on J6.
I've a better idea. Park all your trucks on the DC Beltway. Encircle every inch of Interstate 495. pic.twitter.com/qzs8hRef83— James Michael 11:11 PTSD/MST. BALS & MPA. (@HomelessDogeVet) February 20, 2022
so a convoy of truckers are going to drive on 495 and make the beltway slow to a standstill? threatening dc with traffic is like threatening satan with fire.

The first convoy arrived in the D.C. area yesterday and was minimal in numbers. Led by Pennsylvania trucker Bob Bolus, the small convoy of eight vehicles (and only one truck) was late in leaving for Washington and reportedly became lost as it attempted to navigate the complex roadways of Maryland. Despite Bolus’ repeated claims that he would “choke DC like a boa constrictor,” traffic continued to flow at its usual agonizingly slow pace around the nation’s capital.
I’m currently out in Washington, D.C. area traffic attempting to locate Scranton-based trucker Bob Bolus’ tiny convoy and there are three big problems: Bolus has no idea where he is going, is stuck in traffic, and has no idea where he is.

Bob Bolus is on the highway headed down to DC.
We have driven up and down the line, His 18 wheeler is the only one in the convoy followed by four or five pick up trucks and SUVs (that we can tell). All other 18ws passing him
His claim of having 25 trucks driving down is false pic.twitter.com/xvEeqxobnm— Julio-César Chávez (@JulioCesrChavez) February 23, 2022
I am checking in safe from the Trucker convoy that was supposed to shut down the DC beltway today. One truck showed up and got lost on the beltway. No, I am not kidding, I am deadly serious.

The Peoples' Convoy, which departed California yesterday and intends to arrive in D.C. in time for President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on March 1st, will likely be significantly larger. The Pentagon is expected to authorize 700 to 800 unarmed D.C. National Guard troops to deploy in advance of the truckers, as local and federal authorities brace themselves for the mass protest.
Peoples convoy is expecting over 1,000 vehicles. It will be Joey Bribes largest audience. pic.twitter.com/WmgkoV7y96

A U.S. official says the Pentagon is expected to approve the deployment of 700 to 800 unarmed National Guard troops to the nation's capital in the face of trucker convoys that are planning protests against pandemic restrictions beginning next week. https://t.co/rYjlOD48na

Expect the memes and tweets to continue rolling in as the protest picks up steam and the truckers cross the country, as we've seen with the Freedom Convoy in Canada for the last several weeks.
Prediction: DC's insane layout and traffic will defeat any convoy of yokels in trucks.
Expect them to find themselves trapped in the Beltway, stuck in neighborhoods they find scary, and inexplicably always coming back to I-66 no matter what exit they choose.— Dreadful E (@CEOLEXE) February 19, 2022
