Comedy fans on Twitter were faced with the depressing possibility that comedian Jay Johnston is wanted by the FBI for participating at the January 6th Storming Of The Capitol.

Last night, the FBI tweeted pictures of a member of the crowd at the infamous riot, and Twitter quickly noticed that the man resembled Johnston, at first as a joke but soon with creeping realization that it just might be him.

While there is no official word yet on who the man pictured is, the rumor that it was the Mr. Show and Bob's Burgers actor gained traction when Tim Heidecker said that he'd heard through "reliable sources" that it was Johnston. Heidecker later deleted the tweets.

Harmontown actors Spencer Crittenden and Cassandra Church also posted messages saying they believed the man pictures was Johnston.

At the moment, there is no official word on if the FBI's wanted man is Johnston, who has yet to make a statement about the matter.
