YouTuber Uploads Himself Motorbiking At 200 MPH, Is Now Wanted By The Police
Once again, "committing crimes for views" does not seem to be panning out for YouTube content creators.
The latest YouTuber to commit a crime for views is Gixxer brah, who in September 2023 posted a video testing the "gas mileage" one can get while going 180 miles per hour. To do this, he drove from Garden of the Gods Rd. in Colorado Springs to Denver, a 66-mile drive that Google Maps says should take over an hour to complete by car, in 20 minutes. His video documenting the ride gained over 190,000 views in four months (reupload below).
The speed limit on the route Gixxer brah, real name Rendon Dietzmann, took alternates between 65 and 75 MPH and has been described as one of the state's "most dangerous roads" due to the high number of fatal accidents that occur there. Going over 100 miles per hour over the speed limit constitutes a Class 2 Traffic misdemeanor in the state and carries a fine between $150 and $300 plus a 10 days-3 month jail stint.
Dietzmann is now the subject of an arrest warrant in the state as police seek to book him on multiple other charges, including, "Menacing – Placed Another Person in Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury; Engaged in Speed Contest; Reckless Endangerment; Reckless Driving; Speeding 40 MPH over Prima Facie Limit; Engaged in Exhibition of Speed; Vehicle had no Number Plates Attached."

After a clip of Dietzmann's ride was posted to Twitter / X by user @KRDO_13, reactions on social media were mixed, as some people saw it and thought it rocked and others were mortified at the danger Dietzmann was subjecting himself and other motorists to.
Dietzmann continued posting for months after the incident but has not deleted the offending video as of January 29th. If his eventual arrest turns into a high-speed car chase, chances are he will have the upper hand.
