We grew up knowing of chalk, skateboards, jump rope, street hockey, playgrounds butterfly collecting, etc. Slowly technology took over our lives and now there are hardly kids playing outside in the summer. We can clearly remember our childhood as it was and now we can see the clear line between it. We were the generation right smack in the middle of it all. Our parents were of non-tec tech h and our children/young siblings will be all Not to mention, ours was the last generation that grew up with all those bright promises of work hard, go to college and you'll have a successful life, only to find those hopes abruptly dashed when the housing bubble burst Milliennials have grown up expecting that disappointment because for them, the problem One has been there since Day So 90s kids aren't just nostalgic...we're BITTER. And we ache for those days when we could still think that the world was boundless and full of the opportunities we were promised since the first day of kindergarten THIS IS BEYOND REAL This post brought me to tears This is the realest s--- I've ever read about our generation and I'm tearing bless

By contrast, I was born in '88 and find that I have very little in common with people born just a few years later. Adapting to computers and the internet was pretty easy. I was downloading mods and modding Escape Velocity in the 90's on a powerpc. But social media completely eludes me, I barely text anyone as it is and am only on facebook(which is mostly old people now) because of family.

So are 90's kids in their 30's or 20's? Because I was born in 1991 but I didn't have any problem adapting to the changes of time. Like, computers went from those dumb things you got taught math on in the computer labs, to the internet to get free music from, to sites with games on them, to fanfiction, to youtube, and now to the full on social media stuff. Similarly, I went from a CD player to an Ipod to an Ipod Nano to an Ipod Nano + Smartphone, to just a Smartphone, and never felt any sort of culture shock. Of course all these transitions happened while I was still in middle and high school, so maybe that had something to do with it.
