True story: at the college I went to, there was a shuttle system between the dorms and the campus.

The bus stop there was a nice little thing with a bench, and it cost like…$1,000 of stuff from home depot.

They tore that down, and built a new bus stop 50 feet away…and this one had 10 benches, water fountains, lights and fans, televisions connected to the school's computers…. and no one used it for more than 1 minute, since the bus schedule meant that there was always going to be a bus waiting there for like….5 minutes that only leaves shortly before the next bus arrives (ie- if shit was going bad, they would go into the bus with air conditioning/heating and 4 proper walls)

And do you know how much that bus stop cost? $500,000. When the original filled the exact same work load. THEY COULD HAVE USE THAT MONEY TO MAKE A PROPER BUILDING WITH THAT, INSTEAD OF JUST A ROOF WITH SOME PILLARS. PUT IN FUCKING SNACK MACHINES, HELL MAYBE A WHOLE LITTLE SHOP- MAKE YOU DAMN MONEY BACK IDIOTS

Fun fact, my college has a place called the fountain mall, but years ago the fountain broke, so now they're making a fountain in the middle of campus, and it costs $8 million. All of that money that could've gone towards something more useful, but NOPE. Gotta have that fountain for that namesake.
