every episode needs to be an hour long. that would solve like 90% the problem.

It was about this point in the episode I realized something, the setting is weird.

Sure, the episode is mostly just about Pinkie, seeing her react and goof around, but it is still an important event (at least for the characters involved anyway.) Yet it's treated as if Twilight specifically finding out shes going to be an Aunt is the most important thing for us to see. What about everyone else?

It just seems like a missed opportunity to not involve the rest of the family. Give their parents a much needed speaking role, as well as some interaction with Cadence and the other Princesses. (Considering she is Celestia's adopted niece after all.) But I guess it always has to be about Twilight…

Don't get me wrong, I know the focus was Pinkie and she was fantastic, but that little voice in my head's pitching a fierce fit over what could have been. I can at least cross my fingers and hope the eventual birth has everyone making an appearance.
