…Why doesn't something like this have any comments? Then allow mine to be the first.

I've known full well how the creature on the right feels. To feel like every goal you reach will somehow amount to nothing, like every step will only lead to you suffering more, like nearly everyone out there would rather see you fall just so they can point and laugh and feel superior to you.

To feel like you're alone, and at your worst…unwanted.

But I've also had a few people close to me remind me that no, I'm not doomed to always fail, that even when things are at their worst, there is a way onward.

That I am far stronger than I ever realized, for enduring so much and continuing to move forward, far beyond the point where so many would've consigned themselves.

That even after my life came apart at the seams and my future was ripped away from me, even after I had a brush with insanity, even after it felt like the world had abandoned me for no longer fitting the narrative it wanted to believe…I am not alone.
