For simplicity, let's assume he turned the entire thing to water and did not heat any of it. As the latent heat of fusion of water is 334000 J/kg, Spike outputted a total of: 127105370000 J or 127.1 GJ Spike is shown to have melted the entire thing in around four seconds, giving him an power output of: 31776342500 W or 31.8 GW So what do these number actually mean? Lets look at some comparisons: The Three Gorges Dam is the largest power plant in the world, outputting 22500 MW. This is only 70.8% of Spike's power output The Mk-54 warhead is the smallest nuclear device manufactured. Commonly referred to as a suitcase nuke it had a yield of 10 tons of TNT, or 41.84 GJ. This means that if Spike were to maintain his energy output, it would be equivalent to one nuke going off every 1.32 seconds. Conclusion? Spike could have easily travelled back in time to fix his anthem blunder, as his 31.8 GW of power far exceeds the measly 1.21 GW required for time travel.
