The creator Charles Schulz deeply regretted the animated special It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, owing to the infamous scene where Lucy pulls the football away from Charlie Brown when he's about to score the winning point during a championship game, for which he is blamed by nearly everybody even as Lucy did this in plain view of everybody. Schulz recognized the fan outcry and subsequent reruns of the special by the networks have since heavily edited out this scene, which fans had considered too cruel towards the main character in an otherwise well-received special.

Off topic but I always hate this stupid pedestal reading is put on. It’s perfectly fine if you say you don’t watch movies or tv, and a lot of people would actually complement you if you say you don’t play video games. But disliking reading instantly makes you anti-intellectual. Because apparently documentaries don’t exist.
