I used something similar in a job interview for programming (Interviewer was about 40, though).

"What are you good at, and what would you like to improve upon?"

"Well, I'm good against fire types, so I'd like to improve my water resistance."

Interviewer gives me the serious face.

I give him the poker face.

"Don't call us, we'll call you."
