Notes:

though the similarities between the mirror and the matrix is strictly confined to the g1 cartoon continuity (outside of that, the divine origin of the matrix would make it less similar), the basic functions are almost the same (the matrix bearer can access the experiences and knowledge of past bearers same as the mirror).

of course lapis' mirror can't make a giant space monster suddenly blow up by broadcasting 'the touch'.
