Too late but as someone who likes things such as MLP undertale and other "cringeworthy" and "over" fandoms let me just say that the way to beat this is to not care about people whose argument is X is shit because it is X because A) thats a circular argument and B) those kind of people aren't worth the argument. these kinds of people get it into their head that problems with a show make it bad or that because poeple say it's bad it is because people say it is. The latter is a ad populous fallacy and the former is the incorrect way to judge artwork, not by measuring its faults but its successes. Everything is flawed because the humans that make it are flawed so we need to look at what a show/game/whatever is rather than what it isnt. in other words
