Lucky Money is Chinese tradition and all other country are simply adopted it along with Lunar New Year.

Japanese now celebrate New Year on normal calendar but they still keep tradition of Lunar New Year hence the lucky money and visit relative.

Also that the traditional costume the Korean girl wear during big celebration like Lunar New Year, similar to Japanese’s Kimono.
