In Hercules' defense, Megara was actually completely right about him, and trusting him was not only an enormous step forward for her emotional health (considering how her last relationship turned out), it was also one of the best things she ever did in terms of allowing herself to be happy.
Let's not forget the subtext here that Hades is a manipulative lying bastard who has literal control over Megara's soul. I've met that sort of emotionally dependent person who will discourage their friends from pursuing relationships outside of their own because they're damaged individuals who need that control over a person to feel secure.
TL;DR-The subtext these Tumblrinas are missing here is that Hercules is actually everything Megara said he was and the relationship between Hades and Megara is enormously unhealthy. Not exactly a good analogy to make if your sassy gay friend is Hades and he discourages you from pursuing someone who is literally perfect for you for his own twisted ends.
