Samurai-+H+H I do like this parallel. It's just Ashi dancing "with" Jack the same way Casca is dancing with Guts. This is the first time in long time that Casca has ever danced and she's in pure bliss because of it. Enjoying the dance she's having with the man that saved her life, she owes this moment to him. Ashi's in an even more extreme situation since this is the first and ONLY time she's danced, and even though Jack is not present the connection is felt. Ashi is dancing "with the man who saved her life through the people he inspired. Like Casca she owes this moment to her hero, Jack. l, uh.. ir... and dres You look lovely I don't need to say anything, you get the parallel. Just two awkward dorks awkwardly flirting with each other. Guts is awkwardly awed by Casca and he awkwardly compliments her looks, and Jack does the same awkward compliment. Both women are awkwardly wood by their awkward knights and samurai in armor. And at this point we're off to an awkward start to these awkward pair's relationships...awkward. awward I oint wo're off

TAKEN Horoes who pimp togethor...stay pimpin. Quite the pretty one... On second thought, you are quite attractivo... Rope laughter i losing his helmet along with his eventually Casca/Ashi kills him in a brutal manner for his Gu Samurail? Samurai!? Ashi: Samurai JACK!!!! I bet most of you are familiar with this scene from Berserk right? It's the scene where Guts beats Griffith and leaves Casca behind. The parallels here are present, but like a mirror its Guts leaves because he wanted to be free of Griffith. Defeating his rival gave him the determination to follow his dreams and find his own purpose in life. The goodbyes are somber but hopeful since he's leaving with good intentions in mind. Still he abandons his lover to be as she screams out his name, but she knows she has to let him go. its what he wants and there is nothing she can do about that. She knows Jack leaves becaus@ he LOST all hop@ since he think he killed thos@ children. There are No goodbyes, just a silent hopeless stroll to his death. Jack is leaving with ill intentions since he's going to commit seppuku. He abandons his lover to be as she screams out his name, she knows she CAN'T let him go because of his unstable mindset. She wants Jack to live and she will do everything in her power to do so.

Jack and Ashi's Parallels to Guts and Casca (Part 3)

Okay, I think these comparisons deserve some context since they give perhaps the most intersting thematic parallels between Samurai Jack's Ashi and Jack and Berserk's Guts and Casca >This scene from Berserk is called "The Bonfire of Dreams", and it takes place shortly after Guts' 1v100 fight. Guts is tired, his limits tested since he juggled with killing a 100 mooks, Casca's iolent outbursts and saving Casca from drowning. As a show of goodwill Casca tends to his wounds and "talks" to him about why he acts the way he does. Now here is where it gets interesting, Guts for the first time in the series opens up to someone. He narrates all his inner insecurities, doubts, and desires. He lets this woman, who tried to kill him at their first meeting,a woman who berated him for saving her life, someone who called hima Mad dog" into his heart. This show of vulnerability fueled the sparks of what would be a tragically short but passionate relationship. mooks red, hi >This scene in Samurai Jack, parallels Gut's and Casca's interaction during the Bonfire of Dreams. Remember Jack is also tired and weary from the battle with the Daughters of Aku AND saving Ashi while her violent outburst also nearly get him killed Yet here he telling Ashi a bedtime story, marking the FIRST time he's ever revealed anything private or important about his past. Throughout the whole series Jack never gave any details about his past life to anyone, only that he needs to get back to it. Not even to the Scotsman his best friend. Yet here he is, telling a story from his mother that he holds dear to a woman that tried to kill him at their first meeting, a woman who berated him for saving her life, someone who called him a "Lecherous Snake". Like Guts he gave into the moment and opened up his heart to the woman that had so much in common with him This show of vulnerability fueled the sparks of a sudden passionate relationship that HOPEFULLY won't end tragically
