Donald Trump's Transgender Military Ban - Allow transsexuals to join military

Transexuality is not a mental illness, but gender dysphoria is considered a disorder. It's a disorder best treated through surgery and/or hormone therapy to allow transition into the desired gender. So if people want to call it mental illness, they should, logically, be in favor of treating with the most effective methods available, as we do with all illnesses and disorders. So, to the meme-maker, I say:

Also, not all mental illnesses make a person prone to violence. This meme is incorrect on multiple levels, it's really just a mess.

This is so wrong its not even wrong, its just a distraction. People aren't just given guns in the military. They go through extensive training and there is a intricate process to loading up and arming a weapon.

Being transgender does not automatically equal mental illness. The reason transgender people are so "mentally ill" is because society at large treats them as if they are mentally ill, which leads to, surprise, depression and other negative thoughts.

It all goes back to the adage everyone should have today: If the person can do the job, does it within standards and gets no preferential treatment, then why should they be barred from doing it? Should we just go back to a segregated armed forces by race, that way no one has to worry about working with someone different from them?
