"B-BUT STEVEN IS PART GEM SO HE'S JUST SHAPE SHIFTING WHICH IS WHY HE CHANGES EVERY SCENE/EPISODE!"

Explain why the regular humans are off model then

"WELL YOU DON'T NEED TO BE CONSISTENT! I MEAN JOHN K. NEVER LIKED HAVING THINGS ON MODEL AND-"

Steven Universe and Ren and Stimpy are two different shows entirely and John K has NOTHING to do with this show at all. Try again.

"WELL THEY'RE JUST ALLOWING PEOPLE TO BE CREATIVE AND DO THEIR OWN THING TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES! YOU'RE TAKING THINGS TOO SERIOUSLY! CARTOONS ARE JUST DRAWINGS AND DRAWINGS CAN LOOK HOW EVER PEOPLE WANT THEM TO!"

Tell that to the people who draw fan art of Steven Universe characters 'wrong' and then get viciously bullied/attacked by the fandom.

Also by that logic, why bother keeping any kind of consistency? Why not have everyone in the show change size, shape, and color with every individual frame of animation? It IS just drawings after all, so why take the task of animating this show seriously at all?

Hell, why bother with having a coherent story, consistent character traits/development/personalities, or any kind of continuity to follow what so ever? It IS just a cartoon after all; you can literally do what ever you want and anyone who says otherwise is taking things too seriously.
