Kadokawa booted the director of the Kemono Friends anime. Shortly after, they booted the entire studio that made it, and also the VAs. Japanese fans are pissed, western fans are pissed, everyone's pissed, Kadokawa's stock plummeted, the CEO of Kadokawa's parent company is concerned.
It turns out that Yaoyorozu, the studio, have been a bit too exploitative of their creative freedom and violated some terms in their contract along the way, aside from not following Kadokawa's words; as seen with the "unofficial" episode 12.1, which the studio made behind Kadokawa's back.
Everyone's still pissed, and there's a petition to bring back the director(of course, the petition was made before Kadokawa booted the studio).

Let's rephrase that to "fans all around the world", then.
