Kemono Friends - I was having a good day until I found out this happened

Not so brief summary:

Kadokawa, the owning company, hands a dead IP to Tatsuki and his studio, basically says "do whatever we don't care."
They turn that dead IP into the season of Kemono Friends, which was a massive success to put it lightly.
Not thinking that maybe they shouldn't slaughter the goose that laid the golden eggs, Kadokawa then approaches Tatsuki with revised terms for Season 2, which would have essentially revoked all the creative freedom they were afforded to begin with. Tatsuki declines, the studio is "let go," and the shitstorm begins.
Realizing that maybe they fucked up a bit (especially since they had already confirmed season 2 publicly at this time), Kadokawa claims they fired the studio because they were inappropriately creating some extra KF works, but this proves to be a complete lie as they had actually gotten explicit permission from Kadokawa beforehand.
Doubling down on digging their hole, Kadokawa has now made the voice actors issue a public apology for causing such a fuss. You know, people who weren't even involved in the mess, and certainly aren't the responsible party. This went over with fans about as well as you might expect.
