It's pretty much "hey guys, you know this super popular character that you've probably adored since childhood and would love the opportunity to play as them in a video game? WELL WITH THE LOW LOW PRICE OF $80+ OR 40 HOURS OF MEDIOCRE GAMEPLAY, NOW YOU CAN!"
(Disclaimer I do not know how much the characters cost in-game, but I'm guessing it's not cheap)
