Dear Diary, or Journal, or whatever Cream calls it…

Tails works too hard. Everyone knows this. Yesterday, he was half an hour late for lunch. Today, he was busy fiddling with something in the engines. He told us he'd be to dinner in about half an hour, but when that stretched into nearly an hour, I went to fetch him. He can be really stubborn, insisting that he was almost finished. I told him he was keeping everyone waiting and that the cake that Amy had prepared was going to go stale. He retorted with some nonsense about how artificial foods take longer to go bad, so I just dragged him out of the engine room all the way to the chow hall. He protested at first, but it didn't take long for both of us to start laughing.

Knuckles says the Master Emerald is responding to something. I think we're close to the last Chaos Emerald. When I looked at the star map, it was close to one of the biggest Metarex bases we've seen.

I can only hope our luck holds out.
