I always liked it when the employees started stating all the things the 'M' rated game contained before ringing it up. "BLOOD AND GORE, INTENSE VIOLENCE, NUDITY, STRONG LANGUAGE, STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT, USE OF DRUGS" and my dad would proceed to laugh and say "Yeah, that's the one he wants".
I remember when I turned 17 I went to gamestop to buy an M rated game with my birthday money. I stood there, driver's license at the ready, prepared to prove to the minimum wage employee that yes, I was 17 and therefore able to purchase Wolfenstein The New Order for PS4. He just rang up my purchase and took my money. Didn't even ask me about pre-orders or a rewards card. My disappointment was immeasurable, and my day was ruined. The same thing happened when I went to buy a porn mag after my 18th birhtday.
