As you can come to the conclusion after reading the link, it is about the (false) featuring Dante from DMC on diferent games but unlike those, Monster Hunter: World it is doing a real collaboration with DMC.

So it's a joke/meme come to a real happening instance.

It has been done before in MH games but bare in mind that MH: World has gained and incredible fanbase unlike anything seen before so of course it will mean in correlation that this time it will be more notable when it happens and it happened.
