When the world is pretty f------ chaotic so an entrepreneur decides to start building gated communities with defenses from the outside while providing basic necessities to those living inside and with opportunities to grow and flourish and the community decides that they want certain changes to be made while they are still paying rent and the savvy businessman engages with his tenants to assure comfort and their loyalty so he decides to allow the members to elect officials who will represent the people in meetings regarding the community. As these communities grow and develop culture, there needs to be more officials representing larger officials, representing larger officials, and on and on, and with the large amount of new people, the cost of living gets lower so that living in this community is no longer the majority of your salary but now down to 10-50% depending on your success and now with all this excess cash you can spend on luxury goods to further culture and you worry about who these officials are and why they're being paid to do something that shouldn't even be considered a job and then you find out that these officials might be changing their views that got them elected as a representative to benefit corporations and people within this community and uh-oh time to reset.
