Follow I am fed up with the trolls and ignoramuses who insist on implying that Doomguy has had sex. In an interview with PC Gamer magazine (UK) in 1996, John Carmack said, verbatim: "Canonically speaking, Doomguy is a virgin. He has never had sex, nor do we have any interest in exploring that area in the future. Doomguy, as far as myself and id Software are concerned, will always be a virgin who doesn't even know what sex is." It was certainly high enough for Kotaku to make an article covering the quote, many redditors to post the screenshot within the Doom and Asexual spheres of Reddit, and for me personally to notice it and think "That can't be right" but not really decide to look into it until like six years later. Alex Walker, the author of that Kotaku article, did a bit of research into it himself, and got the help of the guy who made that Pac-Man video the length of The Batman in working out which issue of PC Gamer UK would have included a 1996 interview with Carmack.
